About

My name is Amira by birth and by right. I walk this Earth with a slow, steady pace, hoping to reach some great destination. I am a freelance writer/researcher, aspiring supermodelmom, jaded ex-school teacher, painter, and dreamer with a love/hate relationship with Love itself. I converted to Islam in 2008 while studying abroad in London. This is my reaffirmed space. These posts are my experience.

“It came with never having had much, she knew, the inability to let go of things, even things that were useless.” -Half of a Yellow Sun by Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie

  1. I’m so proud of you, Amira. While I am not Muslim, and do define myself as a Christian, I sincerely respect and admire your tenacity and never ending desire to learn. It’s refreshing to see in a peer.

I want to hear of your travels when you return.

    God Bless,
    Lisa Duncan
